Joggins Cliffs is one of the largest fossil sites in the world. The drive to Joggins from Advocate Harbour however had no redeeming qualities. It seemed like hours on a well-worn asphalt road with walls of trees on both sides.
When we reached Joggins, we had a guide to lead us around the cliffs and tell us about what we were seeing. By the time we were finished, the tide had started to come in. You can see the difference from the first pictures and the last pictures.
I also picked up some natural insect repellent. I wasn't going to, but if I recall, during the hike the day before, I was getting eaten alive.
