Five Islands

Before we left for Five Islands, I took some pictures of boats tied up while the tide was out.

The day started very foggy, but it lifted by mid-day.  We stopped at a place called Five Islands.  The view was nice, but there was nothing there.  We were expecting some hiking trails and camp grounds, but there was just a view of the bay and a closed lighthouse.  It turned out that the "real" Five Islands was down a bit further.  There were some people from Montreal who made the same mistake.  Their car battery went dead so we gave them a boost.

At the real Five Island we got to appreciate more fully the Bay of Fundy tides.  We walked out to some protruding rocks and could have even walked to some distant islands.  However, by the late afternoon it was covered with water.
